CURRENT MAKEUP STAPLES

Here's what I've been loving the most lately.  A little Chanel-heavy, I know, but they make such good shiz what can I say. ;)  A few of these have been staples of mine for ages, and I still find myself reaching for them time and time again.

A. Suqqu Eyebrow Liquid Pen in 'Moss Green' (01)
B. Le Blanc de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base [reviewed here]
C. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Ginger' (Medium2)
D. Chanel Powder Blush in 'Canaille' (89)  [reviewed here]
E. Chanel Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 'Tissé Gabrielle' (208) [reviewed here]
F. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in 'La Favorite' (43) [swatched here]
G. ThisWorks 'In Transit Skin Defence' Protective Daily Moisturiser with Botanicals and SPF 30: this works ;-) brilliantly on me during the colder months when my skin is dry as it's so comfortable and hydrating.  Highly recommend if you have normal to dry skin.
H. Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in 'Noir' (10) [reviewed here, but in 'Khaki Bronze' colour]
I. Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet Foundation in 'Beige' (30) [reviewed here]
J. Eve Lom Sheer Radiance Translucent Powder in 'Dawn' (1)
K. Chanel Eye Lash Curler [reviewed here]

I'll try to post a review of a couple or so of the ones above that I haven't done yet.

Meanwhile...it's Friday...YAY!  :D  Have a good'un!

What are you current makeup staples?  Do share in a comment below - would love to hear! :)

Thanks for stopping by. ^_^ xo

  1. Looks like we have a lot in common! The Chanel base, the lash curler, but I haven't yet tried the velvet so still on v.l. aqua! I also use the chanel concealer that looks similar to that Nars. Have you tried the chanel too, and if so, would you still vouch for the Nars? Everyone raves about it, so I definitely must try!
Other new staples include MAC Quarry (SUCH a pretty crease colour), covergirl lashblast waterproof mascara, and laura mercier translucent setting powder!

    1. Hi Sheejun, glad we have similar tastes! :) Velvet and V Aqua are both amazing foundations - can't go wrong with either - just depends on what finish you're after. Definitely try Velvet once you're finished with the Aqua. ;) Unfortunately I haven't tried the Chanel concealer yet. I have actually been very curious about Chanel's for some time because they look very similar, but I haven't seen many reviews of it compared to the Nars one. I'm fairly happy with the Nars one at this stage though. Once that runs out, I may give the Chanel one a go. How do you like it? Does it cover dark spots easily? Would you repurchase?

Nars concealer is my current favourite along with the previous version of the Cle de Peau concealer stick. But, I'm still longing for a concealer that withstands sweat, heat and humidity for summer!

Thanks for sharing your staples - I have yet to try a few of those you mentioned incl. mascara and LM powder. All sound good! :)

    1. I like the Naked 3 palette too Sue - lovely rose tones! I have yet to try Anna Sui makeup! Are the lippies what you recommend for Anna Sui newbies like me? If so, which shades? Can't go wrong with Chanel ES. ;)

Thanks for sharing your staples. x
