WHAT'S IN MY EVERYDAY CASUAL BAG?

I was tagged a loooong time ago by the lovely Dr. Ebru of Chic Science - sorry it's taken ages!  I finally got around to do it after meaning to do it for some time, then somehow it got in the back burner, then possibly forgotten (eep!), then I felt inspired to do it with my recent hand bag purchase.  Oh dear... but better late than never, right? ;-)  To see what was in her awesome bag (last year!) - click here.  Anyway, here's my bag which I absolutely love and what's inside!

The bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Sophisticato - Dani Crossbody in 'Aqua Lagoon Multi' two-tone colour.  The front side is a bright turquoise and the other side is a camel colour.  It has a minimalist design with emphasis on colour and fronted with gold logo embossing for a subtle signature finish.  It's cut from ultra-soft, luxurious pebbled leather (which is what attracted me the most!), and it has gold hardware.  It's the perfect size for carrying just the essentials for casual occasions.
The bag has a zip closure at the top and an adjustable strap.
The interior is also in turquoise and has a logo-jacquard lining and an interior wall pocket.
Inside my bag...

* Aesop Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash (1.7 fl. oz. / 50 ml plastic bottle)
Dior Addict Fluid Stick in 'Kiss Me' (389) (reviewed here)
* Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy' (54) (reviewed here)
* Kikki.K Slim Ballpoint Pen
* Kleenex To Go Slim Wallet Pack of Tissues
* Headphones (stored in a black Chanel velvet pouch with elastic band closure)
* David Jones Two-Tone Credit Card Holder in green/blue saffiano leather (contains 5 card slots for just the essentials!)
* L'Occitane En Provence 'Subtle Violet' Hand Cream (30 ml / 1 oz tube)
* iPhone 4S in 'Blue Polka' case from Typo
* My keys with 'MonKeys Key Covers' and all connected to my favourite petrol blue bird leather key chain from Kikki.K (also featured here).

Here's what the bag looks like inside when it's all empty!

Hope you enjoyed this tag post. :)  Thanks to Dr. Ebru for tagging me this post - I enjoyed it.  In fact, I might do a few more in future (bags for different purposes maybe?).

I'd now love to tag: Jane from the Daly Beauty, Mag from Makeup Stash!, Jenny from My Funny Valentine, Rae from The Raeviewer and Beauty Professor.  What's in your current bags?  Because I am snoopy...

Thanks for stopping by! ^_^ xo

  1. That is so tiny!!! I can't believe how neat and perfect everything looks. I try never to carry a big bag but mine is a good deal bigger than this. I'm always cleaning it out and yet it's always heavy? The heaviest thing is my water bottle and then my wallet. I also blame kids (must always have band-aids, hand sanitiser and tissues on hand). I always carry a selection of beauty products - compact, concealer, hand cream, nail file, SPF and an assortment of lip products, balm/stick/gloss/tint/liner. PS: I love peeking in people's bags too!

    1. LOL yes it is smaller than average. :) But believe it or not I have a bag that's even tinier! I may do a post on that later on. ;) I used to carry my life with me too (weird posture as a result too probably!), but I have managed become more minimal in what I carry in my hand bag and when I travel. It's not always easy I admit, but I have realised most of the things I carry aren't that essential for day-to-day stuff. Of course, you being a mother so your essentials cover your kids too like you say. :) This particular bag is probably not best for you LOL. All those items you mention sound essential to me - particularly if I know I'm going to be going straight from day to a night out or on a day/road trip, etc.

Nail file! Yes, great idea - I am always without one when I need one and I have just broken a finger nail - grrr. Love it.

Re. neatness/perfectness - thank you, though it is much easier to keep a bag this small neat and tidy which is an advantage, and it helps that the bag is still quite new. :) I do try to clean out my bag every few days otherwise I know I'll never be able to find anything, but I'm not always this neat esp. if the bag is big!

I will probably do another post on a larger bag as well if you're interested. ;) hehe - glad you like peeking in other ppl's bags.

Thanks for looking & sharing what's in your bag! x
