Crimson is described as a 'merlot'. To me, it's the perfect deep, brown-based red with no shimmer. I'm absolutely enamoured with it! It's really the only deep red I've come across that has enough brown and depth of colour in it to make it look more up-to-date and modern (aka not 90's). I find deep reds that lean on the purply side or are more wine-red, can tend to look a little too old-fashioned or more mature-looking. Crimson is so rich and suits (if not flatters) my skin tone by somehow, magically making my skin look brighter. This is my favourite of the two and is now one of my favourite shades.
Noir Glacé is a very dark brown - almost black with no shimmer. Despite being a little less exciting than Crimson, I couldn't help but get it too, for its gorgeous depth, richness and the fact that it pairs so beautifully with Crimson (either as I've worn below, or one on toes and the other on finger tips, etc).
Despite the lack of any shimmer in these nail lacquers, they have a beautiful glossy, shiny finish that helps to give that 'simple yet classy and modern' look. An understated beauty.

On My Tips...
I applied Crimson on my thumb, middle and little fingers; and Noir Glacé for the rest. I used 2-3 coats, but I think 3 coats is best to get an even, full-coverage coating. For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.

Application & Longevity
They both apply relatively easily with a formula that's not too thick or too thin, though I did find Noir Glacé a little bit easier to apply than Crimson. The latter needs a third coat to get an even, full coverage finish. They dried within a few mins, so it's reasonably quick. Unfortunately, these don't last on me. :( They chipped within 2 to 3 days!
RRP & Size
AU$18 / US$18 (OMG! No mark up for Australia?! I'm very shocked. About time!!!) for 14 ml / 0.46 fl. oz. of product.
More
Does not contain formaldehyde, toluene, or dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
Overall
Love both colours and glossy finish, especially Crimson (makes me feel that little bit better about this cold winter season), but I do wish they were longer lasting.
Hope this was useful.
