BURBERRY NAIL POLISH IN 'SAGE GREEN' (No. 420)

About
'Sage Green' (No. 425) is one of six runway shades released for the Burberry spring/summer 2014 collection.  I purchased five of them (see here) which are all limited edition.  The other is 'Mink' (No. 105), which is part of the permanent set of nude shades.

Colour & Finish
Contrary to its name, I would describe the colour as more of a shamrock green, or a bright jade green, and it has a cream, glossy finish.  Here's what it looks like in two coats on my summer tanned, olive skin tone (photographed indoors using a strobe).

Formula & Application
The formula is just right (neither too thin or thick), so it applies smoothly and evenly without issues.  Full coverage is obtained in two coats.  I found it dried quickly in just a few minutes.

Other Goodness in the Formula
"The formula contains strengthening and moisturising elements, including anti-oxidant pro-vitamin B5 and myrrh extract, to help protect and care for nails and prevent breakages."

Longevity
Different shades and finishes may vary longevity, but I've had the Burberry nail polish in 'Ash Rose' (No. 103) last for two whole weeks on me with only minor tip wear!  The longest lasting nail polish I've experienced so far (and beats Chanel nail polishes). :)

Size
8ml / 0.27 fl oz

Availability
Limited edition for spring/summer 2014.  Available now.

Verdict
I like it, but don't love it on me.  Then again, I'm not usually partial to green nail polish.  /:-\  I kind of expected it to be more subdued/muted (like an actual "sage green") so it's more in line with the Burberry style of understated beauty.  Still, I imagine this would look more lovely on pale to medium skin tones.  If you're a fan of green nail polishes, this would be worth checking out for you since it does apply beautifully.

Hope this was helpful. :)

Thanks for stopping by! ^_^ xo
