Ahhh I am very curious about the pink palette. Great haul my dear doc! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Dr Chic. :) Hard to pass up on such beautiful, colourful beauties! hehe. If you want something different, new (or currently trendy) and yearn for that soft, English rose look, then the palette is definitely worth checking out! ;) Review post is up if you're interested. x
DeleteI've seen swatches of both palettes and I was a bit disappointed with the pigmentation. I also own two of their polishes, Oxblood and Stone and the formula is not the greatest. I'll skip this collection altogether :). I'm hoping for better items in the fall.
ReplyDeleteHi Aida - I personally found them to be quite pigmented - but they are soft colours rather than your traditional stronger colours that are found in most palettes, so I can see how some people like yourself may not like it. Also depends on what brushes you use to apply - coz these have a soft texture - you need to use a clean finger with a dabbing motion, or a flat dense natural brush like MAC 239 shader brush. Otherwise you will diffuse a lot of colour. I have just posted my full review on it if you are interested. ;)
DeleteI haven't tried Oxblood or Stone nail polishes yet. Oxblood and those type of red wine shades can be hard to pull of on me. I have purchased Stone but yet to try it, so will see - thanks for letting me know. The ones I have tried like Lacquer Red and Metallic Khaki (both reviewed on my blog) were amazing I thought so perhaps try these ones if the colours are to your liking. Also, tried Ash Rose which required 3 coats, but it applied evenly and opaquely and most of all - lasted me 2 whole weeks with only minor wear!!! I thought that was amazing.
Thanks for sharing your opinions! :) x
