TUESDAY AND A FEW NEW BITS AND BOBS I'M LOVING...

Hello there, and hello Tuesday.  Today is raining cats and dogs where I'm at and the first sign of autumn (yay!) although it's still quite warm and humid!  So, I thought I'd share are a few things I'm enjoying right now (there are more, but here's just a sneak peek!).  I'm currently trying several new beauty goodies including the new Maison Margiela Replica Scented Candles.  The scents match those of their Replica perfumes / Eau de Toilettes, which is about reproducing familiar scents and moments from various places and periods.  I purchased Jazz Club, which is my favourite from their line.  The scent exactly matches that of the perfume and the throw is incredibly strong.  The scent easily and strongly fills my open space living and dining - so it's not one for small rooms!  This heavier type of aromas are just what I'll need during the upcoming cooler, autumn and winter months.  And, another upside is that my husband loves this fragrance, too so we can both enjoy it!  Below is a description of the fragrance in case you were interested...

What it is:
A candle with the smooth, masculine scent of Jazz Club.

What it does:
This scented candle offers over 30 hours of burn time, filling any room with subtle fragrance.

Jazz Club immortalizes the masculine and exhilarating ambiance of a Brooklyn jazz club. The balmy base scent of musk, vanilla, tonka bean, vetiver, and tobacco leaves combine to evoke a familiar but forgotten moment—a night’s sojourn to a hidden jazz club.

Close your eyes and let the fragrance transport you to the memory of sinking into a deep leather armchair. Listen for the sweet reinterpretation of classic notes and coppery tones as they float through the subdued lighting. Cocktails linger, wafting their liquor-infused scents through the maze of bar stools and the subtle strains of tobacco.

Notes:
Pink Pepper, Primofiore Lemon, Neroli Oil, Rum Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Java Vetiver Oil, Tobacco Leaf Absolute, Vanilla Bean, Styrax Resin.

Style:
Spicy. Confident. Smooth.
I've also been loving over a few months now(!), the Glossier #GlossierPink nail polish.  It was a holiday or Christmas 2016 limited edition, so unfortunately it's unavailable. :-(  However, I'm sure there are other similar pastel pinks with a cream finish such as Butter London's Pink Knickers.  It's such a minimalist colour.  I also have on the photo my current favourite accessory to match the trend colour - dusty, soft pinks - Kerry Rocks Jewellery Ophelia Ring in Pink Onyx.  I discovered it at the art gallery gift shop, but I had to order my size online.  They have some gorgeous jewellery there, but love this one in particular.  It's simple, soft and feminine.
Above is the candle lid etched with the signature Maison Margela Replica logo.  The lid feels hefty.
I love using face mists - especially as a toner prior to applying the rest of my skin care regime (serum, moisturiser, etc).  But, of course, you can also re-apply as needed throughout the day for more hydration, to set your makeup, or just help uplift your mood from its scent.  I picked up the Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist, which I first tried and loved at my recent Chanel Facial.  This one delivers the finest mist I've come across - you can barely feel it on your skin.  It's one I often like to spray and "step into" the mist - like I sometimes do with perfume. ;-)  It's lovely, but like the rest of the Hydra Beauty line I've tried, it is strongly fragranced, so it may not be for everyone.  Fortunately, I like the scent.  It really does help to hydrate my skin.  Its main active ingredient (as is with many of Chanel's skin care) is Camellia Alba for hydration, but it also contains Blue Ginger for strengthening the skin, as well as vitamin C and E and hyaluronic acid.
New to me is the La Mer Hand Treatment.  I've recently decided I really need to look after my hands more.  Many of us know it's one of the first places where you show signs of ageing. >_<  So, I've invested in this one, which needless to say is the biggest investment I've ever made, but so far, I really feel it's the best one I've come across in hand creams!  Thank God coz of the price!  It really leaves my hands feeling silky soft, smooth and supple.  It's gorgeous.  However, I'm not sure I will be able to afford to keep up with it if this one runs out coz it's something that you reapply often throughout the day and night.  At least I have tried it and can see the benefits.  This one is definitely a treat for me and will be most upset when the tube runs out.  The product is aimed to help brighten, protect and heal even the driest skin.

Enjoy the rest of your week! ^_^
