SUNDAY RILEY BLUSH IN 'BLUSHING' (101)

'Blushing' (101) is a pale, yet brightening rose pink.  When swatched and applied to the cheeks, the colour seems brighter than how it appears in the pan.  Initially, I feared this may be too light for my medium, olive NC30 skin tone, but on the contrary, it's beautiful and gives life to my otherwise dull-looking skin.  The pigment is pretty good, and the pink shade really shines through on my skin tone :)  There are silver micro-shimmers that give a healthy sheen and glow to the cheeks, too!

When swatched with a finger, it seems like it might be too chunky, but the powder really blends easily, beautifully and seamlessly onto the cheeks using a brush.  I seriously cannot detect any powder particles that just "sit" on top of the skin - it really does meld wonderfully!

As for longevity, I'd say it starts to fade in the afternoon after I've first applied it first thing in the morning.  So, it definitely needs to be touched up like a lot of blushes I've come across.  I currently have normal to dry skin during these colder months.

Swatches
As you can see there's a slight sheen that gives the cheeks just a little bit of natural glow.
The photo below was taken in low light (no strobe or flash used) to show the silver micro-shimmers in the powder.  When applied normally to the cheeks and only when you look closely, you can see them.
Comparison Swatches
The photo above doesn't show it, but in person and up very close, Chanel's 'Pink Explosion' has more shimmers in it and is more visible compared to Sunday Riley's 'Blushing'.  The latter also has the most sheen out of the lot.  The Chanel blushes have more of a satin or matte finish with sparkles.  'Rose Initiale' is the warmest, palest pink in the lot and leans slightly peachy (especially on my medium, olive skin tone).  'Tumulte' is the second palest, has more or a white base and is more pink compared to 'Rose Initiale' and 'Blushing'.  'Pink Explosion' has strong blue-tones to it and is also the deepest with the most sparkles.

Overall
A great everyday pink blush that will sure to be added to my collection of staples.  Beautiful texture.  Go check it out.  It's fairly affordable, too, which is a bonus.

Hope this was useful.

Thanks for visiting! ^_^ xo
