This year's ‘Chanel Le Blanc’ release is inspired by KPOP and is called, the "Énergies et Puretés Collection". Above shows a sneak peek my three picks from this collection, but I will post my full review of these in the next few days. Meanwhile, below are photos and swatches taken using my phone camera while I had a chance to play with the collection last weekend at my local counter in Myer when it was first released here in Australia. (So, please excuse the not-so-great in-store lighting!).
The collection includes:
// Plissé Lumière de Chanel Illuminating Powder [Limited Edition]
Highlighter powder with soft gold champagne reflexes. It is embossed with a beautiful “washi” paper design that symbolises the "contrast between traditional craftsmanship and graphic modernity". This is noticeably one of the more impactful highlighters that Chanel has released of late as they are more known for subtle, luminous glowing highlighters that meld beautifully onto the skin, which I absolutely adore and why Chanel make my absolute FAVOURITE highlighters of all time. ^_^ So, this latest highlighter is a definite change and the amount of glowing, sparkly sheen it gives aligns with most other highlighters on the market like Becca Cosmetics, so I'm sure it will satisfy many highlighter fanatics out there! I will post swatches and a more detailed review soon.
// Les Tissages de Chanel Blush
I believe these shades have been re-released from years ago as I've been told by my Chanel SA and the names do sound familiar. However, apparently these new ones are more sparkly. I don't own the original blushes, so I can't do a comparison. I will say these are very sparkly indeed - the Cherry Blossom one in particular has a lot of silver sparkles. Pretty. It was hard to pick as both are just divinely gorgeous, but I ended up taking Cherry Blossom home.
Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette
284 - Jardins De Lumières – tin grey, pink peach, aubergine, silver [Limited Edition]
292 - Jardins Éclatants – sparkling pink, pearly peach, pink beige, intense copper brown [Limited Edition]
Again, I would love to have picked both of these. (Actually, I would loved to have picked up the ENTIRE collection! *sigh* ^_^ ) However, couple of the shades in 284 are very close to those in Tissé Gabrielle (208), which I already own and love (it's permanent and I have a review of it here). Comparison swatches of both palettes are in the photo below, too. 292 was a pleasant surprise to me as I don't normally get excited about plum eye shadows, but it was beautiful on as a smokey eye and still had natural tones in it so it doesn't scream purple, and really complemented my medium-tan, olive (~NC35) skin. I ended up wearing it to a night out coz it looked so good! :-) Another customer tried this eye shadow palette on who had light skin tone and it looked beautiful on her, too. Still, I resisted it as I think I probably have similar shades somewhere and despite that(!), I'm also currently eyeing the Edward Bess Earth Tones palette, which has similar hues and it's permanent in comparison so I can mull over it a bit longer. ;-) Overall I think both palettes are universally flattering and worth a look if you don't already own similar shades. The new eye shadow quads of Chanel are among my favourites overall - great pigmentation, texture and formula.
Rouge Coco Shine (swatches below)
122 - Corail Radieux – creamy sparkling coral
132 - Rose Ravissant – radiant pink coral (I almost picked up this one, but realised I have several similar from the RCS line. this looked more like a blue-based, sparkly baby pink to me).
124 - Rouge Lumière – intense red [Limited Edition]
Rouge Allure Gloss (swatches below)
26 - Énergie – bright coral
27 - Vibration – vibrant milky raspberry [Limited Edition] (Another one that I almost picked up - so bright and pretty!)
584 - Bleu Pastel – opalescent light blue (even though it's probably not unique, I did pick this up as I love the colour and Chanel nail colours are my favourite. From my initial browse through my pale blue nail polish collection, this one seems the palest - will post my comparison swatches later).
552 - Resplendissant – bright coral
Overall, I'm a little disappointed that these two are not unique and I always wait for Chanel to create more unique shades and finishes as I find they usually lead the industry in these aspects. Fingers crossed I won't have to wait much longer. /:-\

In summary, I love the collection as everything is just about right up my alley, but most of the colours are not unique (especially for lips and nails) and I already have something similar. If you don't already then I recommend you check these out!
Happy Friday! ^_^ xo
Did you pick anything up from this collection?
