SNEAK PEEK! MY PICKS FROM THE CHANEL SPRING-SUMMER 2019: "VISION D'ASIE: L'ART DU DÉTAIL" COLLECTION

Above are three of the items I purchased from the collection.
Happy New Year's Eve! ^_^

A few days ago, I was lucky enough to be shown and purchase early the new makeup collection for Chanel spring-summer 2019: "Vision d'Asie: L'Art du Détail" -
"Lucia Pica draws inspiration from the radiant and subtle contrasts seen during her trip through Asia, where she explored the cities, streets and markets. Captivated by the beauty of everyday details, she creates an intense range of makeup with green, blue, gold, ivory and fuchsia shades. A luminous collection".

So, here is a quick post with sneak peek of my picks from the collection along with some swatches of some of the items.  I only picked up three, but I could have easily picked up two more that caught my eye for sure if my budget and "needs" allowed it.  Haha!  >_<  I will post a review of the three I picked up soon, so please keep an eye on my blog for these if you're interested. ;-)

Collection Product Overview

Above are the products and their availability here in Australia.  Products and shade availability may vary in other parts of the world so please ask your local counter or check your country's Chanel website.  To my wallet's relief, only four products from this collection are limited edition: Two of the Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks in the shades Nuance (71) (not pictured here) and Imperial (73); and Techno Bloom (648) Nail Polish (which I purchased of course - this is the type of uber bright shade I would wear on my lips all the time and now I can wear it on my nails too!  Woohoo! >_< ).  The other limited edition item is, of course, the 9-pan eye shadow palette in No. 2 Quintessence.  As a Chanel makeup collector, this is another must-have for me! *sigh*  The three highlighting powders I believe are already available and are not new.
Below is a close-up of the star of the collection, the new 9-pan Eye Shadow Palette in No. 2 Quintessence.  Isn't she a beauty!
New to the Chanel range are the Baume Essentiel.  There are two released in this collection are called Transparent and Sculpting.  These are meant to be multi-purpose balms to add luminosity and glow to the skin and can be used anywhere on the face such as on the eye lids, face (cheek bones, brow bone, cupids bow and nose bridge) and also, the lips.  Transparent is exactly as the name suggests so it's ultra-natural, glossy and kinda reminds me of the balm end of the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Highlighter + Balm Duos.  I have the latter already so did not pick the Chanel one up.  The other, Sculpting is definitely for highlighting and it has a pinkish/cool undertone and a bit more subtle micro shimmers in it (the name is a bit confusing as it is usually used for contouring or shading products as opposed to highlighting, but whatever!)  These apply sheer, so it would suit any skin tone.  The latter reminds me of one of my all-time favourite cream highlighter (and cult favourite), RMS Beauty Living Luminizer in terms of texture and application and the natural sheen that it gives (or Magic Luminizer which is the pink version, which I don't have).

These balms are permanent, so as much as I really wanted to take home the Sculpting one (I tried it on in-store and it looked beautiful!), I really didn't need it as I have just repurchased the RMS Living Luminizer!  It would definitely be a more convenient option being in a stick form for easy, direct application compared with dipping your finger in a pot, so I would highly recommend you check these out if you love these kinds of natural, easy to apply luminisers!

Quick Swatches

Here are a few quick swatches taken in-store of some of the items that I was most curious about.
Overall Personal Picks/Recommendations
I can tell you now, that I love both nail colours (review to come soon on the blog), the Quintessence eye shadow palette (reviewed here), the Sculpting Baume Essentiel, and the Ombre Première Crème in Patine Bronze (840), which I tried on in-store and it is absolutely stunning on its own - I think I may just succumb to its beauty and end up picking this up later on!

Availability
This collection officially launches in Australia on January 6, 2019 (but, you may be able to get a hold of it quicker like I did if you enquire at your local counter ;-) ).

Hope this was helpful!  Have a safe and prosperous 2019 everyone! ^_^ xo
